At ACC we understand the young athlete as just that a young athlete! They are NOT professionals and therefore have entirely different developmental needs. Yes they aspire to be just like the pros, and to do what the pros do, but most are not ready for the rigors of the workouts that the pros receive.
Can they complete a hard workout? Most can yes!
Can they complete hard workouts and practice seasons for 200-300 days out of the year? Some can!
Can they complete hard workouts and practice seasons for 200-300 days out of the year and stay healthy year after year? NO, they will inevitably breakdown and get hurt or get frustrated and quit! This will happen maybe not right away or 1 or 2 years but it will happen.

Sports training is also not just about how much weight you can lift but a combination of how much, how well, how fast, how safe, and does it transfer to your sport. At ACC we make sure that the combination of those components develop the athlete properly for the future.
